It just happened. I can't help it. After crazy enough with the Initial D (Mostly Third Stage & Fourth Stage), I thought I'll stopped. But unfortunately this series came to me. While doing my job, reviewing some technical specifications, it came across to my screen (i'm using dualview monitor). Wangan midnight. With a little bit viewing the series, I've already additected to it.

Seriously, this series is about the actual street racing that occurs on Tokyo`s Shuto Expressway, one stretch of which is known as the "Wangan", literally meaning "bay side" (although it is generally used to refer to the freeway), the longest, straightest road in the entire country. Of course, there`s also lots of traffic to contend with, including a fair number of heavy trucks.

One day, Akio Asakura, a third year high school student, is driving his Fairlady Z (Z31) and is challenged by Tatsuya Shima, a doctor, in his black Porsche 964 Turbo (nicknamed the "BlackBird"). With a friend in the passenger seat and two girls in the back, Akio pitifully tries to win, but is defeated. Determined to become faster, he goes to the junkyard to buy parts for his car, when he sees a pristine, unscratched midnight blue Fairlady Z (S30) in the junkyard. Intrigued as to why such a machine is about to be junked, he buys it. He soon finds that the car is unnaturally fast due to a tuned L28 engine, bored and stroked to 3.1 liters combined with twin turbos, which produces 620bhp. He also finds that all of the car`s previous owners had unfortunate accidents in it, starting with the first owner`s death.

I would like to say, I'm full tonight. Don't get me wrong. It just means that no more food can be put into my stomach. I'm fulled. What did I ate for dinner? Chicken rice, cendol, keropok lekor and for dessert beef burgers. Am I big appetizer? Nope, just entertaining my curiosity about the taste of the food I ate. Well, it is a worth while.

What do we know about punk music?: Lesson 2

Well, let's continue with the lecture of our punk-o-logy subjects. The first wave of punk rock aimed to be aggressively modern, distancing itself from the bombast and sentimentality of early 1970s rock. According to Ramones drummer Tommy Ramone, "In its initial form, a lot of [1960s] stuff was innovative and exciting. Unfortunately, what happens is that people who could not hold a candle to the likes of Hendrix started noodling away. Soon you had endless solos that went nowhere. By 1973, I knew that what was needed was some pure, stripped down, no bullshit rock 'n' roll." John Holmstrom, founding editor of Punk magazine recalls feeling "punk rock had to come along because the rock scene had become so tame that [acts] like Billy Joel and Simon and Garfunkel were being called rock and roll, when to me and other fans, rock and roll meant this wild and rebellious music." In critic Robert Christgau's description, "It was also a subculture that scornfully rejected the political idealism and Californian flower-power silliness of hippie myth." Patti Smith, in contrast, suggests in the documentary 25 Years of Punk that the hippies and the punk rockers were linked by a common anti-establishment mentality. In any event, some of punk rock's leading figures made a show of rejecting not only mainstream rock and the broader culture it was associated with, but their own most celebrated predecessors: "No Elvis, Beatles or Rolling Stones in 1977", declared The Clash. That year, when punk rock broke nationwide in Great Britain, was to be both a musical and a cultural "Year Zero". Even as nostalgia was discarded, many in the scene adopted a nihilistic attitude summed up by the Sex Pistols slogan "No Future".

Punk rock bands often emulate the bare musical structures and arrangements of 1960s garage rock. This emphasis on accessibility exemplifies punk rock's DIY aesthetic and contrasts with what those in the scene regarded as the ostentatious musical effects and technological demands of many mainstream rock bands of the early and mid-1970s. A 1976 issue of the English punk fanzine Sideburns featured an illustration of three chords, captioned "This is a chord, this is another, this is a third. Now form a band."

Typical punk rock instrumentation includes one or two electric guitars, an electric bass, and a drum kit, along with vocals. In the early days of punk rock, musical virtuosity was often looked on with suspicion. According to John Holmstrom, punk rock was "rock and roll by people who didn't have very much skills as musicians but still felt the need to express themselves through music". Punk rock songs tend to be shorter than those of other popular genres—on the Ramones' debut album, for instance, half of the fourteen tracks are under two minutes long. Most early punk rock songs retained a traditional rock 'n' roll verse-chorus form and 4/4 time signature. However, punk rock bands in the movement's second wave and afterward have often broken from this format. In critic Steven Blush's description, "The Sex Pistols were still rock'n'roll...like the craziest version of Chuck Berry. Hardcore was a radical departure from that. It wasn't verse-chorus rock. It dispelled any notion of what songwriting is supposed to be. It's its own form."

Ok folks, honestly said, I felt really exhausted. For the majlis pertunangan, there are also majlis bercukur jambul for my nieces. That means all preparation for the feast must be ready before that.

Setelah menghadiri kenduri pertunangan anak mak saudara my lady aku, kami pun segera balik untuk buat persiapan. dari pukul 4.00 petang membawak kepada jam 12.30 malam, aku bersama berhempas pulas buat persiapan. Dari kerja-kerja melapah daging ayam dan lembu sehinggalah membasuh dan merebus daging. I'll need extra power.

Log Off for the Aidil Adha

Yeap, another Aidil Adha I've celebrated. This time at my grandparent's house located at Kg. Gajah. Celebrated for 2 days. Luckily, this time I've the opportunity to deployed solat hari raya aidiladha. It was the peaceful moment...praying together with the old folks, your families at mosque.

Not much activities happen here, except enjoying sleeping after lunch. And the next day, with the same activities until later that night, it is a turn to go back to my lady hometown or kampung at Kuala Kangsar.

Kenapa sekarang ni kebanyakan naib canselor IPTA adalah dari golongan perempuan? Satu topik yang sering disebutkan dan diulas. Adakah kerana makhluk Allah yang bernama lelaki dah pupus? Atau ada simbolisme di sebaliknya. Maaf, aku bukannya prejudis, malah aku menghormati mereka, ibu aku perempuan dan isteri aku pun perempuan. Cuma hanya inquery dari aku sahaja. Aku respek jika mereka boleh menggunakan akal melebihi nafsu. Atau berfikir dengan menggunakan akal tanpa melibatkan banyak emosi dan hati. Atau bertindak autokrasi...dengan menggunakan kata-kata sadis dengan underistimate keprofesionalan orang lain. Setakat yang dilihat dan ditenung tak delah naib canselor wanita sanggup buat seperti Khalifar Umar dan juga Ibrahim Adham yang terkenal dengan sifat zuhud. Mereka ini tegas, namun akan menerimapakai sebarang cadangan dan idea orang bawahan tanpa autokrasi.

Adakah mereka ini naik jadi naib canselor secara politik atau memang mereka berkelayakan, budiman dan mempunyai tatasusila yang bagus. Tuhan saja yang mengetahui.

Dari Nilai ke Damansara

Setelah menjalani kepayahan dan berpenat lelah di Nilai 3, aku dan family berangkat ke Ikea. Dengan menggunakan laluan ke KLIA dan melalui Sepang, junior aku punyalah havoc bila nampak kapalterbang berulang arus mendarat dan berlepas. Maklumlah dah dekat dengan terminal. Berbelanja sakan betul my lady dengan mak aku kat Nilai 3. Junior aku pulak, dapat r/c kereta sebijik dah malas nak masuk kedai toys yang lain.

After that, IKEA shopping spree. Punyalah ramai manusia yang bershopping. Ni first time mak aku ke Ikea. Excited sungguh. My lady aku pun sama. Banyak jugak lah barang yang dibeli, even desk lamp. Untuk sampai, very terrible. I'll try different route to Ikea. But end up missing a turning junction. Well, i'll have to take the usual route of course and with traffic jam I faced, whhooah. Feel likes to go on week days. Much better that way I say.

Saturday Night Sleeper

15hb Disember 2007 adalah family day untuk organization aku. Dan aku yang pada mulanya dah mendaftar diri nak pergi menarik diri di saat-saat suku akhir. AJK penganjur tertanya-tanya kenapa aku tak pergi? Jawapan aku mudah, ringkas dan padat. Tempat tu tak best dan tidak memenuhi kriteria untuk aku dan keluarga aku berseronok. Jawapan aku lebih bersifat peribadi dan tidak mempengaruhi sesiapa. Bukan niat aku pun nak mempengaruhi sesiapa. Dan sesiapa yang terpengaruh dengan cakap aku tanpa selidik terlebih dahulu, memang cerdik sangat lah tu. Namun statement aku disalah ertikan oleh pengerusi kelab kakitangan my organization. Dia marah aku sebab bagi alasan macam tu. Bengong ape. (that's why only few female homo-sapien can become a good leader, because they also mix everything with their emotion that can kill professionalism). Hopefully, you guys enjoying yourself. Semoga ramalan cuaca yang mengatakan hujan di beberapa tempat di Perak tidak mengganggu keseronokan yang tidak terhingga. Sesiapa yang ada niat nak cuci mata kat situ, bolehlah cuci sampai putih mata tu.

Mujur juga aku tak pergi family day, coordinator program masters aku dah decide untuk berjumpa dengan kami semua pada jam 4.00 petang di kampus. Setelah masing-masing menunggu hampir 1 jam lebih, perjumpaan dimulakan pada jam 5.20 petang dan berakhir pada pukul 7.10 malam. Tak sangka pulak kami ini dah ade 2 team sekarang: Team 6 & Team 5. The both team carried different direction because of the last semester result. On the Team 5, there are people who have to repeat the last semester paper or papers. And some of them only have to redo their research proposal. The Team 6 will carry on with the upcoming semester's subject and will have to choose whether to take dissertation or independence study for the final semester. At first, there only me and my partner in drive chose to take dissertations, but its end up with the additional of 3 people, only left to think about is SJ. Make up your mind, girl.
We do manage to have only 3 subjects on this semester rather than 4. Another 1 will be taken on semester 4. Hopefully, all of us can graduate at the same time.

Selesai saja perjumpaan aku terus jer nak balik, namun aku fikir baik solat maghrib dulu kat kampus sebelum balik. Tiba aku kat rumah jam 8.15 malam. Setelah bercerita sikit apa yang berlaku kat my lady, aku pun masuk tidur dengan harapan pukul 10 nak bangun. Memang terasa penat betul. Sebab aku baru saja recover dari fever. Tapi apa yang terjadi, pagi ni baru bangun. Dan hari ni family aku akan ke Nilai 3.

Reality Bytes: great to live??

Dah 2 hari, diri aku dilanda demam. Hari pertama yang worst. Panas betul badan. Sampai tak lena tidur. Pada hari pertama demam iaitu semalam, aku gagahkan diri untuk hadir ke mesyuarat penting untuk defend bajet jam 2.30 petang. Mulanya bagi second in command aku pergi ke meeting bajet setelah PA bos aku called. Namun hati aku berat mengatakan aku patut pergi, sebab khuatir collegue aku tu tak tau apa-apa dan dah sure tak mau pergi.

Walaupun badan lemah, pergikan juga. Kepala bengong, tuhan saja yang tahu. Anyway, result exam aku come out memeranjatkan aku dan aku adalah salah seorang yang lulus. Alhamdulillah, ingatkan repeat dah sem depan bagi certain subject such as MLS 742 dan MLS 752. Tapi ada beberapa orang kawan aku yang tak bernasib baik. Semoga tuhan merahmati korang.

Dan semalam, suhu badan dah berkurangan panasnya. Tapi tonsil aku bertambah bengkak dan memeritkan tekak. Maybe nak pekena air asam jawa kot?

PIKOM PC Fair III 2007: Revisited

I've got myself a new digital camera today. And today was a visit to PC Fair 2007 held at KL Convention Centre. So happening at the scene. People are coming with the same purposes. I went with other two friends, my collegue and his friend. We went there using private vehicle. Even though, i'm not done with the listing, still satisfied after a long reviewed of digital camera.

When we're arrived, immediately we check at three booth: canon, samsung and Benq. At first, checked at canon booth and then go to samsung booth which is only a few seconds because they did not bring in the model I wanted to see. Lastly, benq booth which I was briefed by the promoter about the best features of the camera. What the heck! the benq unit has the most high ISO which is 1000 than canon unit which is 800. Unfortunately benq unit only had 3X optical zoom than canon that has 4X optical. That's not the only reason I'm chose canon unit. Another reason was, I'll do believe in user-friendliness to operate the canon unit, so myself had decided to get one.

I'll get freebies from the canon: 1GB SD card, free tripod, backpack, IDD talk with rm10 value and face recognition cd. Man, I'll do enjoy it. Still, with the cost of the camera nearly RM 500, I can't afford to buy other item: AVR unit, DVD-R, PC Game unit and printer peripheral. Well...there is always next time.

Laparnya perut aku...ini gara-gara melayan item-item yang nak di download. Namun aku puas, sebab album band favorite aku telah ditemui. Spermbirds - Nothing is easy. Pencarian masih diteruskan untuk album seterusnya iaitu LP yang dihasilkan pada 1986 - Something to prove. Di mana di dalam LP, lagu yang best untuk layan, antaranya "You're not a punk" dan "playboy subscriber".

Pencarian untuk perut aku juga perlu diteruskan walaupun dah makan spaghetti with sauce and meatball. (kalau ader alfredo sauce untuk spaghetti lagi ecstacy). Rasanya makan biskut peanut butter cream dengan segelas de-caf nescafe pun ok jugak.

I do like to repeat the question, please? What do we know about the punk rock music? Most of the listeners or music lovers of this genre, haven't got any idea about the music or trhe history behind it.

Theorically, Punk rock is an anti-establishment rock music genre and movement that emerged in the mid-1970s. Preceded by a variety of protopunk music of the 1960s and early 1970s, punk rock developed between 1974 and 1977 in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, where groups such as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and The Clash were recognized as the vanguard of a new musical movement.

Punk rock bands, eschewing the perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock, created fast, hard music, typically with short songs, stripped-down instrumentation and often political or nihilistic lyrics. The associated punk subculture expresses youthful rebellion and is characterized by distinctive clothing styles, a variety of anti-authoritarian ideologies, and a DIY (do it yourself) attitude.

Punk rock became a major phenomenon in the United Kingdom during the late 1970s. Elsewhere around the world, punk took root in local scenes that often rejected association with mainstream culture. By the beginning of the 1980s, even faster, more aggressive styles such as hardcore and Oi! had become the predominant mode of punk rock; musicians identifying with punk also pursued a wide range of other variations. Another episode of eyeshield 21

Sebelum insiden yang melanda diri aku minggu lalu, sempat jugak aku menyambar episode terkini atau terbaru anime favorite aku, Eyeshield21. Sekali 2 cd aku sambar (ep 110 - 115) dan (ep 116 - 121). al-maklumlah, dah lama tak update koleksi. Junior aku menyelitlah jugak koleksi cerita Crayon Shin Chan. Ibunya pun tak terkecuali, menyelitkan cerita Hei! My Lady (K-Drama). RM 149 semuanya jumlah bahan hiburan yang dibeli.

Untuk update siri eyeshield 21 dalam koleksi aku, aku akan pergi ke kedai yang aku pergi ni. Lokasinya ialah di Tesco, Ipoh. Nama kedai: Friendly Records. Memang kepada sesiapa yang minat anime di Ipoh akan pergi ke kedai ni untuk mencari santapan minda dan rohani mereka. Termasuklah aku. Kebiasaannya bila on the way nak balik ke kampung mertua aku, baru aku singgah. Tapi kadang-kadang saje jer pergi. Bukan sahaja minda yang dapat disantap, mata sekali pun boleh...he..he..he.

After a long silence

Whoa...it has been the longest silence since the last post. I think it is. Well just get better from diarrhea or cholera or should I say food poisoning. It's the worst case happened to me. Vomiting at 3 am, got high fever and luckily not having major case of 'cirit-birit'.

With at all, it smashed the plan of taking my junior to Zoo Taiping. He understood it well, but a promise to bring him to Tesco Taiping, is a promise. And it shall not break. The next day, I've got better, my wife also, so we went to the promise location and bought him toys.

This is tuesday!!

Well said, I did feel relieve whenever all of my assignment is done by last week. Its actually cause me a lot of mental distress and my life upside down. Luckily my pc at home available to cope with the tense. running 24 hours from eve of deepavali until the next day. That's Duo Core power to me.

By this week, I'll concentrating on my workload. And finish up report for the upcoming meeting with all the officers in my office gather around and liaten to what crap that my boss will say. We love the idea from our boss, but we don't like the long hour time needed just for elaborating that idea until someone in the meeting is drooling sickness.

Anyway, last weekend me and family were having good time at Teluk Batik. My junior play with the beaches and it's nice to swim and having a tan on you body. Enough for now....arioss.

Ramadhan semakin meninggalkan kita, dan syawal mendekati untuk disambut. Ramai taulan aku mula bergembira untuk bercuti. Ada yang akan meninggalkan pekan kecil ini untuk bersama-sama dengan keluarga tercinta. Ada yang akan beransur besok. Namun, kepada yang akan memulakan perjalanan, bacalah doa menaiki kenderaan dan tawakkallah kepada Allah dan berhati-hatilah di jalan raya.

Aku akan beraya di rumah mentua aku di utara. Dan cuti aku akan bermula pada 11hb sehinggalah 18hb Oktober. Bermakna kita akan bertemu pada Isnin keramat 22hb buat IS 772 first batch untuk MLS 742. Amin untuk semua.

Dalam tengah menambah input kepada seminar paper aku, sempat juga aku melayan blog ni. Supposely, this weekend ni concentrate on alternative band of 90's. Tapi kesibukan mengadap seminar paper mengekang apa yang aku dah plan. Tajuk dia memang menarik tapi susah nak dapat bahan kalau cari bawah library and information science. Aku terpaksa gunakan computer science dengan IT punya database nak dapatkan bahan. Tajuk paper ni: Methods of evaluation on Multimedia application system in digital libraries.

Membunuh diri betul pilih tajuk ni. Anyway aku and team mate aku pilih tajuk khusus iaitu satu segment atau criteria dalam evaluation method iaitu usability. Mudah untuk aku focus. Memang ade classmate aku yang pilih tajuk ni, tapi kalau tak silap aku, team dia include all method. Respek kau, Rina.

Pernah tak anda di panggil dengan kata ganti nama diri yang tidak sesuai untuk anda? Dan bagaimana anda menghadapi keadaan berikut? Dan pernah tak anda berhadapan dengan orang Melayu yang tidak pandai menggunakan kata ganti nama tersebut?

Pertanyaan yang timbul di atas sering kali berlaku pada aku dan rakan-rakan aku yang lain yang berada dalam lingkungan usia 30-an serta berjanggut. Dan perkara itu masih berlaku sehingga kini. Kes yang akan disebutkan melibatkan penggunaan kata ganti nama diri yang digunakan ke atas aku dan orang-orang yang menuturkannya. Kata ganti nama diri terdiri daripada kata ganti nama I, II dan ketiga. Kaum Cina biasanya menghadapi masalah dengan kata ganti diri III iaitu hendak membezakan masa bila nak menggunakan 'kami dan 'kita'. Kalau nak tengok contoh, boleh baca majalah kereta Shift (merupakan adik kepada majalah Hypertune) yang ditulis oleh seorang wartawan yang bernama Justin. Kalau chinese student kat tempat aku, sebahagiannya menggunakan kata ganti nama kamu, untuk bercakap dengan officer dan orang yang lebih tua dari mereka. Which is very rude. (Dah berbuih dah bagitau...kalau banyak sangat berbuih mulut nanti orang kata kena rabbies pulak).

Berbalik kepada apa yang nak dinyatakan tadi, di mana aku lebih suka menceritakan insiden yang kena pada aku daripada kes yang kawan-kawan aku kena. Mula-mula aku kena dn banyak kali aku kena, apabila aku dipanggil 'pakcik' oleh cashier kat pasaraya yang ada kat daerah batang padang. Menyirap darah aku dan lady aku. Sebab apa? Sebab umur budak cashier tadi hanya muda 2 tahun daripada umur aku. Disebabkan tak ade orang kat belakang aku, aku pun tanya kat cashier tersebut, berapa umur dia? Dia cakap 28 tahun. Kemudian aku bagitau dia, umur aku 2 tahun tua daripada dia. Kenapa kena panggil aku pakcik, sedangkan lady aku dia panggil kakak?

Dia punya jawapan dia tak tau aku ni muda lagi. Selepas tu aku cakap balik kat dia, kalau tak sure tak bole gunakan encik atau cik ke? Selepas tu datang manager dia tanya ade masalah ke. Aku cakap your staff has attitude issue. Better put her in the store room rather doing frontliner job. Dan cashier tersebut adalah orang Melayu.

Video clip opening song bagi Naruto Shippunden. Irama dan susunan lagunya begitu menarik walaupun banyak perkataan yang dilagukan aku tak berapa faham. Sebab kebanyakan penyanyi Jepun suka menggunakan bahasa pasar daripada bahasa rasmi di mana sewaktu aku belajar dulu lebih banyak diajar oleh sensei aku menggunakan bahasa rasmi.



Irama dia memang hip-hop dan ade sikit funky. Membuatkan aku ceria setiap kali mendengar and menengok video clip ni. Apatah lagi kalau boring disebabkan hal-hal pejabat dan kelas. Dulu rajin jugak aku berjaga lepas abis kelas, tapi semester ni tak boleh. Benda kat pejabat yang kadang kala memenatkan terpaksa jugak dipikul ke kelas. Seboleh-bolehnya jangan dibawa, tapi kalau ada orang bawa cerita pasal ofis, terpaksalah aku layan. Tak layan marah pulak. Nak layan blues pun susah.

Hero Idola

Korang mesti ada hero idola. Aku, walaupun dah nak menjangkau usia remaja tua, ada hero idola aku yang telah aku kenali sejak 1994 lagi. Aku mula minat dengan hero idola aku apabila TV3 menayangkan siri X-Men pada waktu itu. Dan pada aku, watak wolverine yang aku rasa serupa dengan karektor aku menjadi hero idola aku. Watak yang nampak ganas, tegas merupakan seorang penyayang dan prihatin terhadap orang di sekelilingnya. Disebabkan terlalu minat, aku create email pun guna nama wolverine. Tapi bila check availability untuk create email, punyalah ramai guna nama wolverine. Suntet betul.

Surviving in the highway

Last week, memang terjadi satu perkara yang aku benci (one of) iaitu jam di highway. Kenapa aku terlibat di dalam kancah yang aku sebut? Sebabnya, mahu atau tak aku kena jugak ke kelas pada petang tu, disebabkan aku belum present research title aku.

Waktu aku on the way ke kelas aku yang terletak di puncak perdana, banyak kenderaan dah mula banyak menghala ke utara. Parah!!!....kata aku. Mesti jam balik nanti. Telahan aku memang betul. Semasa aku nak menyusur keluar dari GCE, aku dah nampak deretan kereta bergerak perlahan dengan kelajuan 50 km/h kalau tak silap aku.

Later, after class, my lecturer asked me about the traffic condition. I've said, it's ok, if we are heading south. But it will get worst if we are heading north.

Than she said, it was your route back to Tg. Malim.

Yepp, I reply, and that was what I have to face. The traffic move at the speed of 50 km/h starting from Rawang Selatan to Exit to Rawang. After the exit, the speed has increased to 60 km/h. I'll do feel relieve. But not for long, a few minutes later, we going back to 50. I got to increase speed to 80 km/h whenever we approached Bukit Beruntung Exit.

And then we come to the worst part. It suddenly swiftly the traffic turn to 40-50 km/h. I think you can imagine how my adrenaline went. My left hand was at the hand brake, if the disc brake do not working perfectly. But I'll manage to get few photos, unfortunately the photo didn't look well. Need to get a digital camera with anti-shake ability. Perhaps, after bonus this year.

Memang malas..kalau menyentuh tentang borang ni memang aku malas. Organization aku telah perkenalkan penggunaan borang ni dengan tujuan untuk memantau apa yang kita buat tiap-tiap hari. Pikom PC Fair Revisited

By any chance, dapatlah jugak aku ke pc fair 2007 yang berlangsung kat KL Convention Centre on saturday 4hb Ogos. Setelah sekian lama tak pergi, aku dapat saksikan banyak perubahan terutamanya flow of a event yang dibuat. Banyak perkara menarik sewaktu merayau-rayau melihat produk yang dipamer, termasuklah gadis litar (istilah aku) yang bertindak sebagai promoter. Kalau dulu Samsung booth girl yang hebat, kali ini kejuaraan menjadi milik MSI. Sejibik cam GT Queen.

Anyway, tak banyak benda aku beli untuk aku. Hanyalah bluetooth clip I-Tech II dan Microsoft Keyboard Wireless Optical Desktop 2000. Mulanya memang aku cadang nak ambik Logitech EX110, tapi jatuh cinta pulak ngan Microsoft Hardware. Lain-lain barang yang aku LG cdrw, floppy dan MSI socket 478 Motherboard untuk build pc untuk adik ipar aku. Aku ngan lady aku sponsor pc untuk dia, ye lah nak tanggung dia sambung belajar tak mampu. Ini jelah yang boleh buat.

Ada banyak benda yang aku target untuk pc fair kali ini. Especially kamera digital. Cuma bajet ajer yang tak menepati target. Bayangkan Canon basic digicam powershot A460 korang boleh dapat freebies seperti 1GB SD Card, free tripod, free bag and free photo paper. Tak berbaloi ke? Itu belum lagi offer dari Samsung, Olympus dan Kodak. Marvellous betui kalau dapat konica double lens tu.

May be aku akan ke PC Fair kat Stadium Indera Mulia Ipoh. Dengar cite Canon dan Fotokem ada bukak booth. Boleh kot kalau kita amik kamera. Kena tanya menteri kewangan dulu.

Birokrasi VS Bureaucracy

Yesterday, i've been treated like a kid who took first time degree. Semalam juga aku terpaksa menahan kencing sebab nak menunggu taklimat diaorang. SEmalamlah aku bazirkan masa 6 jam aku semata-semata kerana RM 6,477.00.

Punyalah teruk. Aku yang jadi government servant selama 6 tahun masih lagi dilayan seperti budak-budak. Tanpa memperdulikan penerangan yang aku terangkan balik pada petugas kaunter ptptn mengenai status dokumen sokongan aku yang tak sama dengan budak-budak lain.

Bertekak sungguh aku termasuk bertekak dengan penyelia diaorang yang aku rasa gred 41 jugak. Masakan aku yang bekerja dan pinjaman ini yang akan dipotong melalui gaji aku monthly perlukan dokumen sokongan penjamin. Ade logik tak kat situ.

Sepatutnya sebagai badan yang menyediakan perkhidmatan seperti diaorang ni perlu buat post-mortem ke atas kaedah yang dibuat. Memang bagus sekarang ni diaorang dah provide e-loan tapi biarlah apa yang dikluarkan dari portal diaorang synchronize dengan apa yang sepatutnya petugas diaorang. Malah aku kesian dengan diaorang yang dah menunggu dari pukul 7 pagi, siap bawak baby lagi, ade yang tak attend kelas semata-mata untuk menyerahkan borang. Petugas PTPTN pulak pukul 11 pagi baru tiba.

Aku bukannya orang yang pandai berfalsafah. Apatah lagi berterus-terang. Aku orang yang cuba menjaga hati orang lain. Aku ada kawan yang katanya suka berterus-terang sikapnya. Tak suka nak sembunyikan apa yang dirasakan...katanya lah. Tapi pada aku dia hanyalah biadap dan suka cakap lepas. Orang berterus-terang yang aku kenal (allahyarham cikgu aku) terpuji sifatnya, menceritakan apa yang tersirat kat hati dengan cara tak menyakitkan hati orang lain.

Aku tak boleh buat cara macam tu. Aku surrender. That's why aku pilih untuk diam, sebab kalau aku nak cakap aku risau orang lain akan terasa. Friendship kena jaga walaupun kita bersikap profesional. SEbab dengan nilai friendship inilah part of human value. Sebab allahyarham abah aku pernah cakap, sikap nabi SAW adalah suka berterus-terang. Tapi baginda memilih perkataan yang nak dikeluarkan tu dengan berhati-hati supaya tak timbul riak pada diri sendiri dan juga perkataan yang menyakitkan hati pada orang yang mendengar.

Baru lepas mengadap boss. Dan as usual kena banyak le task yang dibaginya. Dia bertanya pada aku tentang banner yang aku jadi anchornya. Aku jawab, "Maaf Cik. Satu apa pun saya tak mula lagi."

"Belum lagi...? Awak ni tau tak ini dah berapa haribulan?"

"Saya tau. Tapi saya dah ada team yang saya nak select," jawab aku sambil mengeluh penat. (lif stop sebab ada pemeriksanaan sistem pencegahan kebakaran oleh pihak bomba)

"Awak ni...saya ingat dah siap. Boleh jugak saya nengok macam mana rupanya."

"Belum...saya perlukan masa senggang. Sekarang ni banyak benda saya kena settlekan library system upgrade, montaj perasmian, blah...blah...blah..," banyak benda yang kena aku buat secara rumusannya.

Pening betul aku. Team bahagian aku ni hanya ada 4 orang, tapi kena buat seribu benda. Ada akai ka cam tu?

Setelah mengharungi penat lelah dan air liur, akhirnya aku boleh menggunakan semula streamyx aku. My Tarantella is Reborn. Dengan modem baru yang boleh support 4 port, aku begitu terharu sebab dah boleh pakai. Kerosakan bermula dengan pc aku yang dah blow dan juga modem aku.

Kemudian, bila dah ada bajet untuk dapatkan modem baru (duit claim mileage dah dapat), connection streamyx aku pulak menghadapi masalah. Jenuhlah sampai technician diaorang turun untuk settlekan masalah ini. Syabas buat TM Team. Namun ada juga yang bangsat, siap kondem lagi usaha TM ni. Terutamanya di dalam website Low Yat. Net. Memang tak patriotik.

Anime Maniac

It just some of attraction having dinner at Shah Alam. We bought our self anime and cartoon vcd. Usually I prefer DVD, but it cost me a lot of money to buy whenever the pay day is far far away. My junior chose spongebob series (his favaorite) and myself Bleach OVA the first one (I wonder when the 2nd OVA: Memories of Nobody are coming to Malaysia). I haven't watch the vcd yet, but my junior woke up at 6.00 am just to watch his vcd. What a attraction. I think it's time for.....to do real workload!!

The Feast

Last night, me and my family having some dinner feast at Shah Alam. It's really amazing because it took us almost 90km to go for a dinner. Marvellously, we are having chicken rice at Chicken Rice Shop. Wow, it really make our tummy stuffed with this wonderful food. We took 5 pax package and it cost us RM 76.78 plus gov tax. And foremost it is like an introductory menu to my lil bro' because he never go to chicken rice shop.

The food was really wonderful and it was a finest chinese cuisine of chicken rice. After that, my junior begged me for a entertainment, actually a video arcade near the restaurant. I've spent around RM 15 for the token. Whooi..he really enjoyed and me too. Marvellously for Virtual On Robot Fight and Marvel Superheros.! Sorry no photo.

Crash and Burn

Plus this week...it is equal to a month since my pc brokedown. My gamers and multimedia application pc at home had breakdown due to a lightning incident in my residence area. With the budget constraint, I'm not been able to do anything. Gladly there were only few components had failure to operate. That items are crucial to run a pc: mainboard, my secondary hard disk which are stored many of my favaorite anime and movies (naruto, naruto shippudden, Eyeshield 21, Pimp My Ride, Final Fantasy, You're Under Arrest)and my ADSL modem.

Luckily for me, other component are not affected. Had to used my office laptop to do some fancy work after office. Actually using this laptop to do some multimedia work is really stressing. Even though they give me IBM..(my collegues always said: jangan berkira sangat, sepatutnya bersyukur dengan apa yang ada.)Piirah..........

Salah satu favorite and kereta impian aku (termasuk my ladyhouse) adalah vios. Toyota dijangkakan akan mengeluarkan vios generasi kedua dan generasi kedua vios ini telah pun dilancarkan di Thailand. Mengikut sumber aku, Venom (mamat ni kerja dengan toyota) vios ni akan dilancarkan di Malaysia pada Ogos atau September tahun ni. Dan harga vios baru ni tak macam yang sekarang ni.

Dalam majalah Autocar versi Malaysia pun dah mention tentang vios generasi kedua yang gunakan platform toyota belta atau toyota yaris sedan. That's why nampak cam sumo dan curvy bentuknya. Geram betul....nampaknya kena tukar taste ke honda city la plak.

On 26th May, Saturday I think (bioll kejap), my little brother got enganged with his long life girlfriend and now he got himself a fiancee. And I nearly get a little sis in-law. We're headed to Taiping for the ceremony, and get wet because of rain.

The Crew Behind: Seminar on Librarianship

Last April, my classmates and me had conducted a free seminar exclusively for the librarian in academic and public library. We invited almost 160 libraries in Klang Valley and we end up having 60 participants not included lectures from the faculties (some of them are my ex-classmates ). It's a nice seminar actually, with the theme Library as knowledge hub: future and trends. The presentor are coming from various background talking about the information seeking-behaviour and how information is retrieved. We have from UPSI, UiTM and also from Frontline Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd whom the presentor gave talk upon tremendous topics on content management.



At first, there were diffulties in selecting the presentor. When I proposed the presentor from corporate bodies, one of the lectures, seem "dislike" with the ideas. But we prove sometimes a remix or combination is good for sake of human kind. He..he.

aMUSEing

I love Muse. Not muse in the Greek Mythology. It's the band called Muse. Really love them, the style and the sound of their music attracted people who loves grunge and other alternative sound. with they hit song...everybody will bang some head, but my favorites still 'Hysteria' and 'Time is running out'. Here are some brief info about Muse for you all out there.

Muse is an English rock band formed in Teignmouth, Devon in 1997, comprised of Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, guitars, piano, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (backing vocals, bass guitar, keyboards) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion). More recently, Morgan Nicholls has played keyboard in Black Holes and Revelations era performances. Their sound is heavily influenced by alternative rock, indie rock, classical music, electronica, heavy metal, and progressive rock. The band is known for their energetic live performances and frontman Matthew Bellamy's eccentric interests in global conspiracy, extraterrestrial life, theology and the apocalypse. They have sold over 7 million albums worldwide.

The Silence

Aku rasa almost 1 month aku tak sentuh blog aku. Just get back from the dead. One of my classmate mintak aku define apa maksudnya 'back from the dead'. Simple bagi aku, maksudnya baru dapat bernafas balik. Sekarang ni time holiday aku. Just finish the test final for my master study (or should I say 1 month ago). After finish my test on 5th May, esoknya aku perlu bergegas ke Perlis untuk hadiri meeting dan seminar. Assigment ade yang tak siap. walaupun aku dah mintak perlepasan, boss aku tetap suruh pergi tanpa belas kasihan terhadap keadaan aku.

Mula lah boss aku sembang pasai waktu dia buat master dulu, kena settlekan assignment dalam masa dua minggu dengan tak tidur malam. Apa punya bangang entah. Aku buat part time, every week ade assignment kena buat. Dia buat full time. Tak ada apa yang menganggu. Condition aku pulak, dengan kerja, dengan family. Namun support dari family jugak yang buat aku jadi kebal. Nak kata boss aku ni support. Harap sembang jer lah.

Anyway, aku kena jadi tough. Sebab kalau tak tough, aku tak boleh jadi great leader. Great leader???

Prawn Mee

Aku rasa ramai yang dah pernah dengar tentang mee udang. Dah masuk dalam slot 3 Hari 2 Malam, waktu Shamsul Ghau2 jadi host. Dalam slot tu dia makan Mee Udang Mak Teh.

Last time adik ipar aku ajak aku pergi pekena mee udang Mak Teh. Lokasi dia on the way jalan nak pergi Port Weld. On the way nak pergi kita akan jumpa bangunan Maktab Perguruan Perempuan, Matang yang telah diubahsuai dan dijadikan Muzium Ngah Ibrahim.

Cerita tentang mee udang ni, tak larat nak cerita sedapnya. Kena sendiri try baru boleh cerita.

Mee Udang Mak Teh ni memang popular kat daerah Taiping atau Larut Matang ni. Memang ada kat sekitar Taiping ni buat mee udang, tapi tak boleh lawan mee udang Mak Teh ni. Mee udang dia "banjir". Bukan roti canai jer banjir tapi mee ada kuah "banjir". Ada tiga jenis, ada RM5, ada RM8 dan ada RM12. Itu harga mee yang mengikut saiz udang. Kalau itu kiraan aku, setiap pinggan ada 10-13 ekor udang. Makan...? sudu memang ada, tapi apa kelas nak kopek udang guna sudu. Kalau nak tau lokasi dan nak merasa, boleh contact aku.

Cooling Period

Today is Thursday. But when I'm writing this, its already Friday. And I don't have any class. My lecturer has postponed the class to next week on wicked Monday. On Monday we going to have the horrible thing that we called the meeting. It is like all officers gather around to hear our big boss mumbling and story telling and also tis meeting will last for one day. Can you guys imagine...one whole day. Craps...my junior already know that I will suffocate and die in this meeting. But life goes on.

The informist is in cooling period. I'm in good mood even though I'm in the bad shape. My class will conducting a seminar next week. My big boss will be shocked to see me handling the seminar that she will be attend. Ha..ha..ha. And I'm already taking a time off to prepare this seminar. Well, I'm login off. Need to browse for Puspakom location. I'm refinancing my Terios.

Possum Dixon

Last night, after redecorated my bedroom...I suddenly strucked with this group's name. Possum Dixon. I got familliar with group when i'm waited for my SPM results. Really catchy the name and their video clip. I don't quite remember the title of the song. The chorus.., sound just like this " you're emergency 'bout to end..." Here are the brief history of possum dixon to all alternative heads.

Possum Dixon (1989-1999) was an American alternative rock band. Fronted by singer/songwriter/bassist Rob Zabrecky, literate songs about love lost and slacker life in Los Angeles and a penchant for unpredictable performances set them apart from the herd of other rock and roll hopefuls.

Formed in 1989 by college friends Zabrecky and Celso Chavez (guitar), the pair took their name from a suspected murderer mentioned on television show America's Most Wanted. Initially performing as a duo, they mixed haphazard punk-folk compositions with store-front theatre to some measurable success, primarily performing at LA art/coffeehouses (Bebop Records & Fine Art, Jabberjaw, Pik-Me-Up). The following year, longtime friends and former schoolmates Robert O’Sullivan (guitar/organ/keyboards) and Rich Truel (drums) were enlisted and together a fuller musical range was explored. Chronicling their hometown's east side slacker life with a pop-rock sensibility, the band smartly incorporated influences from the Talking Heads, Human Hands, Wall of Voodoo, Dream Syndicate and Camper Van Beethoven.

By 1992 Possum Dixon had logged a number of mini-tours and produced a number self-released 45" singles and cassettes which included "Music for a One Bedroom Apartment", "Nerves", "Watch the Girl Destroy Me", and a three single box-set released by Pronto Records. Along the way a strong following was built and eventually the band found themselves part of a flowering LA art and coffeehouse scene.

Secretly rehearsing by night in a warehouse (where Zabrecky worked as a mailroom clerk by day), hiding their equipment with boxes when they finished, the band diligently polished club-tested material and assembled what would become their first full length major label debut. They eventually found internal harmony without consciously trying. Chavez's disjointed guitar playing wasn't for lack of trying; O'Sullivan's piano crashes weren't for lack of talent. Truel's drumming and Zabrecky's spy-infused bass riffs were all part of a bigger picture about a band who found their own voice from the close confines of practice and proximity to each other in their daily lives. The band also wasn't without lending a helping hand. Beck, a young anti-folk singer with nothing to his name but a beat-up guitar, would frequently get up on stage before the band played to test his latest material. Zabrecky later recorded a bass track on his first Geffen release, Mellow Gold.

Mengantuk

Tak larat nak continue buat assignment. Aku mengantuk, kepala pening dan badan aku letih. Maklumlah siang dengan tugas hakiki, malam pergi kelas, lepas tengah malam study dan buat assignment. Dah 2 hari divison aku buat gotong-royong, buat kerja-kerja fizikal memang penat. Tapi bila nampak kemas, baru segar mata. Yelah boss aku perempuan, cerewet, bila tengok banyak hardware yang diletakkan atas lantai, mulalah melalut kat sapa-sapa yang visit kat division aku..."biasalah bilik kerja ni penuh kumbang, itu pasal tak cantik, tak de decorative".

Bengang aku...susunan dalam division aku dibuat mengikut flow work dan based on praktikaliti. Dan praktikaliti ni selalu bercanggah dengan perhiasan. Entahlah, idealogi lelaki ni lagi hebat agaknya. Itu pasal tuhan jadikan akal lelaki ni 9, tapi berapa ramai lelaki yang boleh gunakan 9 akal ni.

Mengantuk...cadangnya nak sambung buat assignment jam 5 pagi. Harap-harap aku bangun. Pc biarkan pasang...it's torrent time!

Recharge...

Aku perlu recharge balik. Dah lama aku tak sentuh blog ni. Hari ini baru lega. Bergelumang dengan kerja, assignment dan juga presentation. Yelah lepas abis kerja pada hari Selasa, Rabu dan Khamis, dah kena pergi kelas pulak yang jaraknya 78km dari tempat kerja aku. Itu pun susah jugak nak sampai sebelum jam 6.30 petang. Construction kiri kanan highway. Bila nak settle pun tak tau.

Petang tadi hujan..terbantut activity aku, nak layan streamyx pun tak boleh. Guruh dan kilat yang menggerunkan. Betul-betul depan tingkap temapat aku aku selalu melayan komputer. Last week lepas balik dari servis kereta, seblah kereta aku jer. Bergoncang leh jugak SUV tuh. Ada 4WD drive pun tak boleh nak stabilize dengan keadaan alam cam tu.

Still Got The Blues

It's almost 2.00 am. Haven't feelin' sleepy yet. Have to move on. Finished my class a little bit early today. we have a presentation on subject evaluation of search engine. My group has done it last weeks and tonight the lecturer gave her commented on the presentation conducted by the previous groups. I think I got the bad comment for not being able to talk or facing the audience. I'll try to face but maybe the monitor is too big, so it seems that I was talking to the monitor.

Nothing much to talk about except feeling down. The meeting of horror will coming this friday and will last long for 1 day. I don't know how my big boss can bare to talk or we should describe as a storyteller that never conclude the story.

I don't know for you guys out there...been able to attend that kind of meeting. For me, I still got some strengh...
