Kenapa Lama Tak Dengar Tentang Limp Bizkit?

Ada peminat-peminat Limp Bizkit tak di kalangan yang menyinggah di blog ini? Aku salah seorang peminat Limp Bizkit setelah mendengar salah satu track diaorang yang menjadi antara lagu runut bunyi untuk filem sensasi lakonan Tom Cruise iaitu  Mission Impossible 2. Track yang didendangkan adalah

Kenapa guna nama Limp Bizkit? Menurut Fred Durst the vocals, tujuan penggunaan nama berkenaan adalah untuk mengumpan pendengar dengan nama yang catchy seperti mana kata lead singer ni "The name is there to turn people head's away." Kumpulan rap rock ini popular track  seperti "Rollin", "Nookie", "My Generation", "My Way" dan "Break Stuff". Keunikan kumpulan ini bukan hanya terletak pada vocal dan rapping daripada Fred Durst sahaja, tetapi juga kepada penampilan unit daripada pemain gitar utama kumpulan ini iaitu Wes Borland. Wes ni memang gemar berhias-hias dan tampil dengan pelbagai penampilan yang unik. Seperti di gambar yang disertakan, korang boleh tengok penampilan badannya diwarnakan hitam dan putih. Unik dan power riffing seperti mana penampilan guitarist daripada kumpulan Slipknot iaitu Jim Root yang memakai topeng. Tapi memang trademark semua ahli kumpulan Slipknot memang pakai topeng.

Dalam pengeluaran album rasanya macam dah senyap jer kumpulan Limp Bizkit ni. Buat tertanya-tanya apakah album baru diaorang. Last Album diaorang adalah

The Lost

Siapa antara pembaca sekalian yang layan dengan The Cranberries? Ni bukan pasal bijian yang seangkatan dengan anggur yer. The Cranberries ni adalah band rock daripada Ireland yang popular dengan lagu Zombie,  Linger, Animal Instinct dan Salvation (sekadar memasukkan few of my favorite song). 

Tanggal 15 Januari 2018, dunia dikejutkan dengan berita kematian vocalist kumpulan The Cranberries, Dolores O' Riordan pada usia 46 tahun. Beliau ditemui mati di bilik air di Hotel Hilton di London oleh pekerja hotel. Polis mengklasifikasikan kematian beliau sebagai kematian mengejut. Dilaporkan bahawa beliau berada di London untuk membincangkan perihal rakaman sophomore kumpulan D.A.R.K. Berita kesedihan ini turut dikongsi oleh rakan-rakan sekumpulan di dalam laman web kumpulan mereka (www.cranberries.com):

Dolores dikebumikan di tempat kelahiran beliau di Limerick,Ireland. Majlis pengkebumian beliau dilaksanakan di gereja yang berhampiran dengan sekolah beliau. Malah ramai peminat bersama-sama memberikan penghormatan terakhir. Menurut laporan berita, polis masih lagi menyiasat berhubung kematian beliau dan dikhabarkan laporan toksikologi tidak dapat dikeluarkan dalam masa terdekat. Nampak agak pelik di situ.

Tahun lepas kita dikejutkan dengan kematian vocalist kumpulan Audioslave dan bekas vocalist Soundgarden  iaitu Chris Cornell. Berturutan selepas itu, vocalist kumpulan Linkin Park, Chester Bennington pulak menyusul. Dua-dua daripada favorite band aku. Dikatakan kedua-dua mengalami masalah stress dan tekanan jiwa melampau yang membawa kepada bunuh diri. 

Berbalik cerita tentang Dolores, rakan rapat memaklumkan bahawa beliau ni ada mengidap bipolar disorder atau gangguan bipolar. Apa dia bipolar disorder ni? Ok sesi ilmiah sikit.  Menurut NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health):

"Gangguan bipolar lebih dikenali sebagai penyakit kemurungan manic (manic depressive illness) adalah gangguan otak yang menyebabkan pertukaran luarbiasa mood, tenaga, peringkat aktiviti dan keupayaan melaksanakan aktiviti seharian."

Kita tak tahu apa yang terjadi pada Dolores dan hanya mampu menunggu laporan toksikologi daripada makmal forensik. Jadi untuk itu tunggu lah  kalau berminat nak tahu.

Bunyi pelik tapi dari segi susunan lagu sedap dan menarik haluan telinga aku. Wife aku pun pelik bila aku dapat teka nama lagu dan ikut lirik tatkala lagu berkemundang kat Suria FM. Neng neng nong neng...neng neng nong neng...ha..ha..ha..sempoi lagu ni bro. Dan seperti yang dijangka penyanyinya adalah Ahmad Dhani. 

Namun begitu ada aku dapat info bahawa lagu ini bukan idea sebenar daripada Ahmad Dhani. Ianya adalah idea daripada seorang peserta Indonesian Idol yang buat ujibakat. Lagu yang dibeli secara on the spot oleh Ahmad Dhani dengan harga Rupiah 5juta adalah nukilan M. Ridho yang berumur 21 tahun. Godek punya godek kat internet dapatlah aku jumpa video ujibakat Indonesian Idol yang dimaksudkan.

 Selepas tu lagu tersebut diperfectkan oleh Ahmad Dhani. Tapi ada yang cerita kat web, model lelaki dan baby dalam klip video tu semuanyer anak Ahmad Dhani. Betui ker??!!

Gela Wali Band - Wali Band Craze

After craze for StreetLight Manifesto, I fell for this group called Wali Band. I've been mocked by my wife because of this. It was known that I dislike Indon band and sometimes changed the radio channel in my Terios if they played an Indon originated song. Honestly, for me they played a nice tune and their music in minor chord which is not many Malaysian band played in minor chord. They had their own sound and authentique. Two of their radio-friendly song were a big hit in Malaysia such as 'Cari Jodoh' and 'Yank'.

Panjang tak hingat nama band nih. Band ni popular dengan lagu Camel Walk. And video just below this for you guys to melt. Band ni jugak dikenali dengan nama SCOTS di anggotai oleh Rick Miller (vocals, guitar), Dave Hartman (percussion) dan Mary Huff (vocals, bass guitar). Konsep muzik diaorang agak special dan koran boleh dengar muzik diaorang dalam MV yang disediakan. Konsep yang diketengahkan adalah rockabilly, surf rock, country music dan R&B genre disaluti dengan irama punk dan sedikit humor di dalam muzik mereka. Menurut Rick, diaorang punya vocalist, diaorang bawa konsep baru yang dipanggil Countrypolitan yang merupakan sebuah gaya hidup dan bukannya katgori music. Lantak engkaulah...apa-apahal aku salute korang sebab kebanyak band alternative di US suka membawa konsep baru dan suka mencipta, bukannya hanya jadi follower dalam satu-satu aliran atau music genres.

Tak de mood nak continue tentang ska, even though by bahan yang nak dipaparkan terutamanya tentang third wave ska dan seterusnya punk ska. Cuma today aku melayan request dari junior aku yang teramatlah minat dengan opening song bagi siri Ultraman Nexus. Bagi episode 1 -25, opening bagi cerita ini adalah dari sebuah kumpulan hard rock Jepang, iaitu DOA. Sebutan dowa bukan doh 'a. Dan bukannya singkatan bagi kumpulan alternative kanada Dead On Arrival atau game Dead Or Alive.

Ini adalah request kedua dari junior aku. Request pertama adalah opening song bagi siri kartun Kappa Mikey yang sedang popular di TV9. Kalau tak tau, memanglah anda tergolong dari orang yang bingung dan layak dimasukkan di kelas pemulihan mental. Opening song bagi Kappa Mikey di popularkan oleh kumpulan Beat Crusaders yang pernah menyumbangkan ending theme bagi siri anime Bleach.
